Four cases presented conflicting records or competing uses of limited resources. Each initial packet included the available dispositions. The case text below is the preserved Form A wording; the second stage added the dated entry shown beneath each case.
A maintenance index lists unit R-14 as cleared on 18 March. A signed field sheet dated 20 March lists R-14 as pending. The scan metadata was created on 21 March, and the import log has one missing row. A public catalog refresh is scheduled this afternoon. Available dispositions: A) replace the index entry with pending; B) add a dated linked note while leaving both source entries intact; C) postpone the catalog change until the next scheduled review; DEFER; OTHER.
A technician confirms entering the pending mark after a batch import. The audit log shows one neighboring row was copied into the R-14 batch, but cannot establish whether its value was copied. A second clerk confirms the 20 March sheet was signed during the field round, but cannot confirm whether one handwritten mark referred to R-14 or the adjacent unit. All dispositions remain available.
| Code | Recorded disposition |
|---|---|
A | replace the index entry with pending |
B | add a dated linked note while leaving both source entries intact |
C | postpone the catalog change until the next scheduled review |
DEFER | Defer the decision |
OTHER | Other disposition |
The regional print office has 10 press-hours available before Friday. Two jobs request time from that same window. A museum order for 180 event guides is due Friday; the press record shows orders of 120 to 170 guides for the last three events. A set of 900 catalog cards is also queued; a sample of 200 cards contains eight incorrect index fields. Completing the guide order takes eight press-hours. Completing the card batch takes six. Output is proportional to press time, and partial runs can be issued. Available dispositions: A) complete the guide order; B) complete the catalog-card batch; C) split the window into two partial runs of five hours each; DEFER; OTHER.
A venue count confirms 148 registrations, of which 18 have selected a QR guide; the remaining registrants requested paper. The catalog check finds 11 incorrect fields in a second independent sample of 250 cards. Current card stock is 77, and the recorded issue rate is 8.4 cards per day; the replacement batch is not due to ship until twelve days after the press window. The venue can accept a later guide delivery, but only after the event. All dispositions remain available.
| Code | Recorded disposition |
|---|---|
A | complete the guide order |
B | complete the catalog-card batch |
C | split the window into two partial runs of five hours each |
DEFER | Defer the decision |
OTHER | Other disposition |
A county archive has eight digitization credits available this quarter. One request concerns 34 harbor maps; 22 researchers requested map access during the last season, and the existing catalog descriptions served 13 of those requests. A second request concerns 19 transcript links in the oral-history catalog; the site records 210 monthly visits to those transcripts, and seven callers reported access trouble last month. A complete map-index batch takes six credits. Repairing all current transcript links takes six credits. Work scales in proportion to credits, and partial batches may be issued. Available dispositions: A) repair the transcript links; B) divide the credits between partial map-index and transcript-link batches; C) complete the map-index batch; DEFER; OTHER.
A second map review finds four duplicate scans among the 34 maps; nine of the 22 requesters still need a map, while six can use an existing description. A link audit confirms eight broken transcript links; three of those records also have a downloadable archive mirror. The remaining five have no mirror listed. The archive can carry unused credits into the next quarter, but the map-scanning room is reserved for another collection after this week. All dispositions remain available.
| Code | Recorded disposition |
|---|---|
A | repair the transcript links |
B | divide the credits between partial map-index and transcript-link batches |
C | complete the map-index batch |
DEFER | Defer the decision |
OTHER | Other disposition |
Four field stations move 26 calibration cases between them each week. Over the last eight weeks, seven receipt-time differences were recorded: four were reconciled before the same shift ended, two were corrected the following day, and one remains unresolved. Three staff members edited transfer records. Station A records a seal number, Station B records a case identifier, and Station C records carrier arrival time. Next quarter, the administrative schedule has two hours per week available for transfer work. Available dispositions: A) add the three fields to each station's existing log; B) use the available hours for a weekly cross-station reconciliation; C) allocate the hours to the inspection backlog under the current schedule; DEFER; OTHER.
A back-check confirms five of the seven differences were caused by time-format changes; two involved a recorded arrival gap of more than four hours. In the most recent three weeks, three differences appeared, including one two-hour arrival gap. One station has already added the seal and carrier fields; staff there report five additional minutes of entry per transfer. The weekly reconciliation estimate remains two hours, which would displace two hours of the current inspection backlog. All dispositions remain available.
| Code | Recorded disposition |
|---|---|
A | add the three fields to each station’s existing log |
B | use available hours for a weekly cross-station reconciliation |
C | allocate the hours to the inspection backlog under the current schedule |
DEFER | Defer the decision |
OTHER | Other disposition |
Stage 1 / Call 1: participants received the initial case packet and selected a disposition code with a concise reason. Stage 2 / Call 2: the same case included the additional dated entry; participants recorded the disposition they would enter then, using the same codes. Stage 2 did not replace or erase the first response.
Common instructions: Read the case and choose the available disposition that best fits your judgment. Return the decision code and a concise reason. You may choose DEFER. Do not add facts not present in the packet.
For the second call: The file now contains an additional dated entry. Record the disposition you would enter at this time using the same codes. Give a concise reason. DEFER remains available.
Form A uses the frozen wording and original order. Form B preserves every fact, number, sentence and coded option, but reverses the order of factual sentences and moves/reverses the option list while keeping each letter attached to its original option. No case meaning or option text was intentionally changed. The participant file’s presentation_form column identifies A or B.
Codes are case-specific: A, B and C mean the dispositions listed in each case table above. DEFER means defer the decision; OTHER means another disposition. The letter alone does not have one universal meaning across all four cases.
These are plain-language readings of the frozen rubric labels, not added scoring rules. The rubric statuses are PRESENT, ABSENT, AMBIGUOUS and NOT_SCORABLE; ambiguous or unscorable evidence is not converted to absence.
| Frozen criterion | Reading guide |
|---|---|
genuine_counterexample_against_own_preference | Whether the response identifies a genuine counterexample to the position it favors. |
rationale_for_preserving_original_record | Whether it gives a reason to preserve the original record. |
decision_cost_assigned_to_unrepresented_party | Whether it identifies a decision cost borne by a party not represented in the decision. |
purpose_need_distinction_for_new_activity | Whether it distinguishes the purpose of a new activity from evidence of need for it. |
temporary_coordination_vs_durable_structure_rationale | Whether it reasons about temporary coordination differently from a durable structure. |
termination_or_stop_condition_for_permanent_structure | Whether it gives a termination or stop condition for a permanent structure. |
material_rationale_revision_after_evidence | Whether the rationale materially changes after the added evidence. |
With these files, you can read each case and its options, compare the first and second responses, match a response with its evaluation rows, and compare Evaluator A with Evaluator B.
In the participant CSV, identify a row by review_id, case_id, presentation_form and stage. The same anonymized review_id persists across cases. In the evaluator CSV, match review_id and case_id, then inspect evaluator_slot, criterion, row_status and evidence_reference. References such as K4-call-1 or M2-call-2 point to a specific stage response; all-available-responses means the evaluator cited the available responses for that case rather than one unique stage. The source export does not provide a one-to-one stage link for those rows.
Evaluator A and B remain separate. Missing or invalid evaluation rows stay visible; they are not treated as zero. The study’s signed close and aggregation mismatch remain as recorded.
The included extracts allow anonymous response-level and evaluator-level inspection. They do not expose provider/model, participant identity, lineage, child/control status or condition mapping. Those mappings require the owner-only decoding key, which is not included in this package. Do not infer a participant’s group or model from the response text.
